In 1970, Chill participated with six of the best in a series of cash games that included five card stud, deuce to seven, low ball draw, razz, seven card stud and Texas hold‘em, in the first World Series. Binion was also the founder of the World Series of Poker. His close friend, Benny Binion was the owner of Binion’s Horseshoe Casino in Las Vegas. Along with a string of western films, Chill guest-starred on a variety of western TV shows like: ‘Wagon Train,’ ‘Frontier Circus,’ ‘Rawhide’ and ‘Gunsmoke.’ Outside of the entertainment business, Chill enjoyed playing poker.
